Homemade Vegetable Broth
I love this homemade recipe and use the leftover cooked ingredients to enjoy as a meal that day or within a couple days.
2 Diced Carrots
2 Diced Celery Stalks
8 Minced Parsley Sprigs
1 Whole Diced Onion
8 Minced Garlic Cloves
1/2 Cup Rinsed Uncooked Lentils
64 Ounces of Water (Alkaline is recommended)
Rinse, dice and/or mince all above ingredients, except water :). Put all ingredients in saucepan and sauté for 5 minutes on medium/high. Stir regularly and add 1-2 TB of water as needed to avoid burning or sticking to pan. Add 64 ounces of water and bring to boil. Once boiling. simmer on simmer low/medium for 30 minutes. Strain and place in storing container or add to recipe it’s needed for. As mentioned above, I use remaining cooked ingredients as its own meal that day or within a couple days.
